For the first painting endeavor at my new location, I finished up the solid green bases for my khaki British unit:
Men of the 2nd Popsicornia |
In the next few days I hope to slop on the Mod Podge and then the acrylic gloss and call them done.
A blog primarily about adventure / war gaming with 54mm / 1:32 and thereabouts figures and vehicles.
Hope the new location works well for you and the figures look great.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tradgardmastare!
DeleteInspiring 'housewarming' figures! As the Tradgardmastre said, best wishes for your new location / home!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mark!
DeleteThey look great John!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maudlin Jack!
DeleteVery nice looking troops. Are you tempted to go with a shinny look?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Peter!
DeleteThese will most definitely be made shiny. In addition to liking that aesthetic, it seems to help to protect the figures in my clumsier moments.
Shiny all the way.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! I intend to touch up, seal, and gloss my WWII figures the same way. I know it's the less popular approach for WWII but I just think it looks better - and again, protects the figures from my clumsiness.
DeleteWho wants to be popular? Although I may draw the line at my 28mm toys just in case I decide to sell them. I have matching 8th army and Afrika Korps armies plus a Late War German one, all for Bolt Action.
DeleteAgreed - I have some 28mm French I was painting up for Bolt Action (currently a stalled project), that I would hesitate to make glossy.
DeleteSmart looking chaps! Is the hodgepodge in hope of discouraging paint loss?
ReplyDeleteHere's to the new place!
Thanks, Ross! In my limited "testing" (i.e. dropping figures accidentally), it seems to prevent chipping. It also appears to prevent the dreaded flaking.
DeleteThey look excellent now; a bit of grass and gloss with set them off a treat.
ReplyDeleteRegards, James
Thank you, James!
