I’ve been working on finishing this unit up that I started last year. A sealant and some gloss is all that remains. I was going for a Deetail type paint job. While I’m not entirely happy with my efforts when I view them in close up, they look ok from wargaming distance, even with my glasses on, so I can’t complain. Next up, I’ll finish work on the officer and bag piper.

They look right to me, except perhaps that Deetail usually used a darker flesh which seems to somehow add life.

DeleteI was thinking the same thing about the flesh tone. It blends a little too closely with the khaki, and it looks like they haven't seen the sun for quite some time. But I'm lazy, so I'll probably keep it that way for now.
