Very nice! I just started converting some AIP Russians for service in Afghanistan in 1898 when I discovered this thread of posts. While my game isn't VSF, I am developing an idea where Germany manages to secretly back the Spanish, the Boers, and the Ottoman Empire against Great Britain and the United States. The Russians are simply a side story; stuck in Afghanistan and not knowing which side to join. Absolutely love your lancers as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Reese! Do you have a blog? I'd love to see the conversions. I had a really hard time finding references for the Russian uniform for the time period - I used to have a guide book to Russian uniforms that I foolishly parted with - this represents a mish-mash of sources I found online and Space: 1889, A Soldier's Handbook.
DeleteYes! I am not yet experienced with it as real life is a demanding thing. I posted a few quick pictures for you today on it.

The figures look nice and shiny
ReplyDeleteThey are at that. Although, I always fell like I should apply another coat of gloss, just to be sure.
